     Just about anyone who comes through the Somerville Striders AC turnstiles eventually gets a little piece written about him or her from the in-house scribe...and sometimes the most important piece of the pie gets forgotten or eaten late night when everyone else is asleep--so tonight we salute the club mascot, president for life and everyone's friend!! Buddy the Beagle:>)

     Buddy was rescued from the Worcester Pound 2+ years ago...or perhaps he rescued the in-house scribe but regardless he has become a joy to all who spend even the littlest amount of time around him:>)..Buddy is the 1st out the door before the run...will lead the pack if allowed or at least until the first trash can on the course and he is always there to cheer you on at the end of a run and he loves to share the post race pizza:>)
